Brett Weinstein and Heather Heying his wife on the dark horse podcast talking about vaccines once again. and you know that they are serious and definitely not conspiracy theorists selling you reactionary nonsense because they speak like this. What you want to look for here is how they describe peer review. and one thing to note about the study that they're discussing and I'll put the bad stats thread up is it's already been debunked. and well what is debunked? well and two it's not yet been peer-reviewed. What is peer review? so here are these guys there is another yet another paper this one published in a mainstream place it's still in preprint it's not published. it hasn't even been peer-reviewed. but by a reputable mainstream academic suggesting that oh hold on I want to go here suggesting that the code of vaccines is doing more harm than good. so you can show my screen here Zach. the excess risk of serious adverse events of special interest surpassed the risk… this is a problem with the original stream of her voice here. All right, she's acting like a fake voice. I was like wow is this like a Darth Vader situation or else this is what happens when she knows she's talking [ __ ]. Risk reduction for COVID-19 hospitalization relates to the police relative to the placebo group in both Pfizer and Moderna trials 2.3 and 6.4 for 10 000 participants respectively. this is the paper you can see they've put in big great print across the back across you know preprint, not peer-reviewed. but as we've talked about before you've got seven authors on here who effectively each other's peers who are peer-reviewing. and lots of other people who know what they're doing who have reviewed this effectively. but because most people who aren't scientists hear peer review as the sun of the fact that's not peer-reviewed is going to be used to dismiss it. dismiss it. Sinequan means that it can't exist without something else. so she knows what that means but she does not know that peer means that you are by definition other people's peers.
