Storm Corrie Parts of UK, Netherlands hit with high winds, heavy rains

A low-pressure system, dubbed Storm Corrie, hit parts of the U.K. and the Netherlands on Sunday and Monday, with high winds and heavy rain pelting various regions.

A fisherman off the coast of the U.K. between England and France captured waves and rain pelting the windows of his ship on Monday morning, with footage also capturing churning seas in that country.

The high winds also were captured whipping up sand in an English community, while it blew away a trampoline in a Welsh neighbourhood.

According to reports, the storm knocked out power for thousands, adding to difficulties people were already facing after a separate storm, dubbed Storm Malik, hit the region just days earlier. No injuries have been reported due to Corrie, but at least two people were killed due to Malik.
