Massive reconstruction of Mariupol is planned and has already begun

The Corps of Engineers of the Russian Army expects to finish its first 6 apartment blocks in October, and the remaining 6 in November, with combined capacity of 1011 apartments for about 2500 people. Eventually, an entire residential development is scheduled to be built. Also, to speed up the reconstruction of ravaged Mariupol, a pre-fab concrete elements plant is put into operation, and a concrete plant as well. A showroom apartment can already be visited. Apartments will be delivered finished, equipped with a basic set of home appliances, without furniture.

As of now, most of the damage made to the city have been assessed. Damaged buildings are assigned to one of four categories - cosmetic repairs, current repairs, profound repair, and demolition. Contractors who’d execute the works and donors to finance them assigned to the most, with many of the Russia's constituent federal entities to finance reconstruction, according to internal documents.
