Alleged Drowning in the Trinity River, GOODRICH, July 10, 2022 - Sometime around 4 pm on Sunday, July 10, 2022, a man allegedly slipped beneath the surface of the Trinity River while swimming wiht friends. The alleged drowning occurred near the bridge (just south) on FM-3278 near the Polk County side of the shore. Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, State Game Wardens, and boats from the Camilla and Shepherd Volunteer Fire Departments were being utilized during the search.
