She met a boy with golden skin, a living tree, and many more amazing creatures who rejoiced at her appearance and admired her. At home, Rose had never experienced this - there were only pokes, contempt and indifference. However, the charm dissipated very quickly - it was not salvation and universal love that awaited Rose in Epperset.
