Our mind, the mental is wired and created to "make judgements, discernments, comparisons"... that is not wrong or evil, but when it functions alone it creates division and separation. Think of it as a computer or camera taking snapshots of every individual 'nuance' which it then assembles to create an "identity" or "definition". Nothing bad about it, that's it's normal function so desperately needed in this world! However, it is not capable of unconditional love. That is the function the "heart" was tasked with, and it is a completely different aspect of our being. These TWO need to be married or unified as One!
