Statistics show "racist police"-narrative is wrong!

Through media we are given a narrative that police (and whites) are discriminating against blacks, who are portrayed as victims. Is this supported by the factual data or is this a case of "cherry picking" examples by the media? Surely, media outlets like CNN and BBC are giving us an un-biased view of the world?
