Jurors in Trumbull County, Ohio found Claudia Hoerig guilty of aggravated murder for the death of her husband Karl Hoerig. Prosecutors said she planned on shooting him at their home on March 12, 2007 as he was planning to leave her. She then escaped to Brazil to avoid prosecution. The defendant was extradited in January 2018.
