9mm Home Defense Wall Penetration Test

If you find yourself researching "9mm for home defense," "pistol caliber carbines for home defense," or similar subjects long enough, you're bound to come across some less than substantiated claims, eventually. Hell, I watched a video the other day claiming a certain Ruger handgun was 30 pounds. I'm sure ounces was the intended measurement, but it was published like that. A harmless mistake for those who know a Barrett M82 .50 Cal weights almost 30 pounds, but when these kind of mistakes make it into videos about self defense, you may argue the result can have far graver ramifications. I'm not going to list said articles, but rather steer you towards great content that does a better job. One of those "better job" people is @Paul Harrell , who has run several tests like this, and I really can't recommend his content enough.

So lets dive in. And yes, I got bit by a brown recluse. Not all BR reactions result in extreme necrosis, or the aggressive decay of tissue near the bite. I experienced blistering, and pulsing pain that lasted several days. I still don't recommend the experience.
