Sunday Longplay - Doom: No End In Sight (Switch Add-On) - Episode 2: The Depths of Doom (UV-Max)

This week on Sunday Longplay, the Doom 1 console add-on "No End In Sight" continues with its second episode, The Depths of Doom! Just like with the previous episodes, I will be going for 100% kills and secrets on Ultra-Violence difficulty. And this is where the difficulty really begins to ramp up. This episode incorporates a few design quirks from Doom 1. E2M7: Gateway Labs has a fake exit trap just like the original E2M6: Halls of the Damned did, and E2M9: Castle of Illusions basically does what the original E3M9: Warrens did in Doom 1, where it gives the initial impression of retreading the first level of the episode but then throws new stuff at you. And like the original Doom, the episode ends with a boss fight against the Cyberdemon, except this time there is a lava pit surrounding the area with no way to get back up should you fall, so be careful!

Episode 1 was fairly easy, but Episode 2 has much bigger maps (levels 4 and 7 especially!) and many more secrets to uncover (level 7 has 13 secrets!). Even then, they still pale in comparison to two of the maps from episode 3 and most of episode 4! You definitely don't want to miss E3M6, E3M7, and E4M2 especially! The secret exit in episode 2 can be found in E2M5: Deep Storage.
