Tsoi Sim aka Yu Choy aka headless cabbage--What??

Lori Fiechter on Thursday, May 7; the predicted deep freeze is tomorrow night. I was disheartened to see that the blueberries were starting to bloom. Silly berries! Don't you know anything about self-preservation? sigh. Stan has covered the broccoli with milk jugs, we'll need to throw something (old sheets) on the onions tomorrow night and of course, tuck the tomatoes and peppers safely into the shed for the night.

Lettuce should be just fine. I hope the Tsoi Sim can take the cold as well. I've never grown Asian greens before. Tastes like baby spinach (or asparagus? I wish!) but is in the Brassicaceae family--cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, and collards.

The next update should show us filling up that tilled garden dirt with some over-sized plants! Until next time, then!
