EPISODE #1 of 16: Tending Sheep
A modem day shepherd, Tai Elias, shares some insights into the nature of sheep and their dependence upon the shepherd. Archaeologist Bob Mullins visits the site of David's early childhood in Bethlehem. This program originally appeared on Zola Levitt Presents in 1994 (ZL-274).

SERIES: House of David
This series begins by looking at the early life of the remarkable David, the shepherd boy who would be king. Through David’s teenage career, his anointing, his-harp playing, and his cataclysmic battle with the mighty Goliath, this series traces an amazing life. The first eight programs conclude with Saul’s jealousy of David and the necessity of the future king to “flee unto the hills of Judea.” The conquering of the City of David marks the beginning of the Jewish occupation of Jerusalem about 1,000 years before Christ.
The second half of this series continues as we see David’s career as a temple builder, covering the acquiring of the temple site in Jerusalem through the planning of the House of God and its worship. The programs continue with the divided kingdom and Jerusalem today, still the capital of Israel as King David declared it. Focusing on modern Israel, the entire House of David senes concludes with interviews with Israelis and Palestinians about the peace process and predictions concerning the next temple of God.
