NIST tried to say this was molten aluminum mixed with burning combustibles, since aluminum appears silvery, and this is yellow/orange. Dr. Steven Jones refuted that hypothesis by doing an actual experiment. The silvery color of molten aluminum DOES NOT change to yellow/orange when mixed with combustibles.
