Hexen (N64) Gameplay

I wasn't a big fan of this game when I rented it back in the day. I just didn't get what it was trying to do, but it was cool that it had coop play. In recent years I played further into it, and it clicked, and I actually like this game now. It is strange how your perspective on a game can change 25 years after you first played it.

Hexen is a cool combination of RPG elements in a first person shooter. Not quite sure if I would call it RPG elements, but similar. Maybe a fantasy action adventure game with FPS designs in mind. WEither way, it was a unique blending of genres at the time. This is a sequel to the PC game Heretic, which I have still never played. It takes a little to get into before the game gets better, or your understanding of the game increases, but I now consider it a solid title for the N64, whereas I used to think it was crap.

Note: I am using the Hyperkin 3-in-1 HDTV cable to record this off my actual N64, so some of the colors might be imperfect, but for $30, it's a solid solution to play N64 on a modern TV.
