In The Hunt (PS1) Gameplay Sample

I am terrible at this game, as I am all Shmups, so why should this one be any different. if this game looks interesting to you, you don't have to shell out the asking price for the PS1, or a kidney for the Saturn version, it is actually available on both the Switch, and PS4 as- "Arcade Archives: In the Hunt" which is a port of the original Arcade version of this game. I'm not sure what the changes between the ports are, outside of a PlayStation music mode, but if you're not concerned about that, look for this game on either of those modern consoles.

Metal Slug fans might be scratching their heads as to why this, Irem developed and published (in the arcade) game looks so much like Metal Slug in it's art styling. The reason it looks so similar is, the team at Irem responsible would eventually go on to form the team responsible for the MS games.

This is a fun shmup, with a unique concept, and yes, I am playing it on easy, and yes, I am terrible at it, but I enjoy this game every time I boot it up. Fun little shooter. Unfortunately, this is one of the handful of Long-Box games I have not a long box for. Just disk only, but at least I still get to play and enjoy the game itself.

Note: I am upscaling this on a PS3, using a component-to-HDMI converter.
