Ecoregions of eastern Montana, part 2

Part 2 begins west of Miles City in an area called the "Montana Central Grasslands." The route takes us westward on IH94, paralleling the Yellowstone River on its south bank. We pass through an area called the Sagebrush Steppe in Rosebud and Treasure Counties, then enter the Pine Scoria Hills, a scenic forested zone just east of the confluence of the Bighorn and Yellowstone Rivers.
