GUITAR CENTER SUED for Non-Payment of Rent - Manager Comments on My Dumpster Diving!

Local news station WDRB has reported that Guitar Center of Louisville / St. Matthews is among SIX businesses in a shopping center that have not paid rents for the past month. According to the report, property owner is suing Guitar Center and the other businesses for non-payment of rent. "Louisville real estate firm Hagan Properties filed separate legal actions against tenants of its Shelbyville Road Plaza shopping center – Carter’s, Guitar Center, Mattress Firm, Lane Bryant, Catherines and Off Broadway Shoes – alleging that each company missed April’s rent and owes damages." In light of the recent downgrade by Moody's of Guitar Center debt, this could be an early sign of default ahead. But I spoke to the local manager who disagrees, saying the report was overblown and the store plans to open back up on May 20th, in accordance with Kentucky Governor Beshear's state timetable. Business will re-open allowing only those with masks and with limited equipment testing. We also ventured into the subject of my past dumpster diving and the conversation got somewhat heated.
