This new rocket will save satellites from space junk

Space junk in the Earth's low orbit is a big problem. Our satellites are at risk and it puts our communications and weather prediction capabilities in danger. Los Alamos National Laboratory scientists have developed a new type of rocket. The Electrolysis Rocket Ignition System (ERIS) uses water, not pyrotechnics, for propulsion and allows for multiple pulses. A satellite equipped with a multi-pulse ignition system will allow scientists to move satellites out of harms way keeping our communications safe.
