Prayer to Lig for the Light against Wickedness

Līġ is the Old English cognate of Old Norse Logi who is a Jötunn of fire.
This text is influenced by the Rig Veda, especially of Agni.

Translation:
Hail, Leye!
Fire’s lord, Gleed’s lover,
You who bring light to this world,
You who light every candle, and warm every house,
You are the fire of the funeral pile, of the offering,
Great praise to thee, beloved Leye!
O Leye, Darkness’ enemy.
Enlighten our minds, show us the light
That will destroy wickedness in this world.
