LET'S KILL UNCLE 1966 (aka Let's Kill Uncle Before Uncle Kills Us) - A 12 year old orphan inherits a fortune set into a trust and ends up in the custody of his uncle on a remote island. He learns the uncle intends to kill him for the inheritance. A smart young girl who also lives on the sparsely populated island is the boy's only ally against the evil uncle.

William Castle wanted to try a Mystery Thriller & got the rights to the popular novel by Canadian authoress Ruhan O'Grady. This was his last film at Universal, as the producers constantly made changes to the story & ending, and Castle was lucky to get it finished and distributed. Of note is that the film had to be edited in the UK to get their "A" rating.
