Shocking videos show a huge fire raging alongside the A2 motorway in Dartford.

Residents living near the A2 in Dartford have been instructed to close the doors and windows of their homes as the fire continues to rage.

Onlooker India Boyle, 24, who works in mental health and study psychology, lives near Dartford Heath where the fire is continuing to destroy wildlife.

She said: "I saw the smoke from my house so walked closer.

"It is about a three minute walk from my house and I walked towards the bridge where the fire was spreading on the Heath.

"The fire brigade were on scene very quickly as it was spreading into the hard shoulder and cars were slowing down.

"We haven't been told to evacuate as I believe the fire was under control and they managed to close the A2 off it was spreading very quickly but has slowed down now.

"Luckily, there aren't houses too close to where the fire was as it was on Dartford Heath."
