Philippians 2:9-11

1. We must acknowledge His name.
• “God exalted Him to the highest place.”
• Jesus’ name in incomparable.
• What are the implications of His name on my life?
2. We must worship His name.
• Every being in heaven bows before Him.
o The order of God is to worship him. (Heb 1:6)
o We will see throngs of heaven worshipping the Redeemer. (Rev 5:9-13, 19:1-7)
• Every Being on earth is called to bow before Him.
• Even beings in hell will be made to call Him Lord.
• How am I called upon to worship His name?
3. We must confess His name.
• What we say about Him must agree with the Bible.
• Confessing His name will bring glory to God.
• Biblical truths to confessing His name:
o He is the risen Lord. (Acts 2:24, 32, Rom 6:9, Rev 1:18, Rom 8:11, Col 2:12)
o He is the redeeming Lord. (Heb 9:12, 1 Pet 1:18-19, Eph 1:14)
o He is the reigning Lord. (Col 1:13, Matt 24:14, Heb 12:22-23, Luke 1:33, 2 Pet 1:11)
