We read in 2nd Timothy chapter 3 that in the last days, perilous times will come. These perilous times are marked not only by the signs that appear in people, but by the signs that Jesus and the prophets spoke of. Jesus was very explicit in Matt 24 that there would be wars and rumors of wars. He said that there would be earthquakes, famines and pestilence. The very definition of pestilence is an epidemic of viral disease. Does that ring a bell? We have one of those that just won’t go away, and others are projected to come, or be whipped up in a lab somewhere. The world’s leading think tanks are forecasting food shortages all over the world, possibly impacting even the wealthiest countries, something modern history has never seen or even considered.
