Memorial service underway for 13 KZN men gunned down in Orlando tavern shooting

A memorial service and candle lighting ceremony for 13 victims of the Soweto tavern mass shooting is underway at the uMzimkhulu TVET College in KwaZulu-Natal.

Thirteen of the 16 victims killed last week inside Nomzamo Tavern in Orlando East, Soweto are from uMzimkhulu, south of KwaZulu-Natal.

The victims are aged between 19 years-old and 35 years old.

The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Sihle Zikalala is joined by the MEC for Social Development Nonhlanhla Khoza and the leadership of uMzimkhulu Local Municipality and Harry Gwala District Municipality.
