How To Know They Are The ONE

1. The Bible focuses on walking in purity more than on how one should date.

Purity is being without mixture.
It’s an issue of the heart, not the body. Ps.24v4; Mt. 5v8
It’s not a point you reach but a pursuit after God.

2. The Bible focuses more on being the right person than on finding the right person.

Adam knew his MASTER. (God had to tell him he was lonely)
Adam knew his MISSION. (He had a job)
Adam got a MATE. (He went to sleep before he got a wife)

3. The Bible limits our options to “ONLY IN THE LORD” when it comes to who is the right person we should be with.

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6v14)

4. The Bible doesn’t teach that God plays lottery with relationships, He gives liberty to marry whom we wish.

Wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband dies, she is at liberty to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord (1 Corinthians 7v39)

13 Red Flags That You Are with the WRONG PERSON

1. A relationship with God is not a priority.
2. Actions and words don’t match.
3. Friends have not committed Christians.
4. Has a wandering eye.
5. He has recently gotten out of a relationship and didn’t heal.
6. Shows signs of controlling and abusive behavior.
7. He has the same sin habits, addictions, and struggles and doesn’t have freedom.
8. He doesn’t respect purity and has no desire to wait till marriage to have sex.
9. You don’t want kids to become like him.
10. You don’t have peace about marrying this person.
11. Your mentors and family feel iffy about this person.
12. Being with his person has distracted you from Christ, the church, and your closest friends.
13. You are already praying for God to change this person.

• It’s better to wait for God to bring the right person than to wait for God to fix the wrong person you bring to God.

• Don’t be blind to what you see during dating: a spoonful in dating will be tons in marriage.

• Before we get married, we tend to focus on what we want; but when we are married, we will be focused on what we need.
