Sunday Longplay - Bravely Default 2 Demo (Switch)

This week on Sunday Longplay, I'm playing through another RPG demo released in the latest Nintendo Direct Mini! Welcome to the demo of Bravely Default 2, a new Square Enix RPG from the development team that brought us Octopath Traveler in 2018! While still no concrete release date, the full game is set to release sometime in 2020.

Our story follows four adventurers: Princess Gloria, the last remaining scion of the royal family of Musa, Seth, a sailor washed up from parts unknown, Elvis, a scholar who was left a mysterious tome by his mentor which he seeks to decipher, and Adelle, a mercenary hired by Elvis to help him find Asterisk stones. The four of them find themselves in the desert village of Savalon, which has been submerged by overflowing water after the destruction of the kingdom of Musa and the theft of the water crystal. The Innkeeper directs them to some ruins south of the village where rumor has it a bright stone could be found. Could this be the water crystal?
