House passes bill to codify contraception rights nationwide

The Right to Contraception Act heads to the Senate after House members voted 228-195 mostly along party lines.
The measure is the latest initiative by Democrats to increase protections for women following the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The House voted on July 15 to codify abortion rights, a measure which passed without Republican support.
