January 6 Congressional Hearings show footage of Senator Josh Hawley raising a fist in solidarity, riling up the crowd, but fleeing from them shortly. Jamelle Bouie joins the Majority Report crew to discuss how though Biden may be unpopular amongst voters, Republicans are just as unpopular. They also talk about figures like President Joe Biden and Nancy pelosi who seem to yearn for the old Republican Party or the ‘real’ Republican Party as they continue to strive for bipartisanism. The MR crew, however, finds that partisan issues are what grab attention more from constituents, and given the recent overturning of Roe v Wade, it might be best for Democrats to drastically distance themselves on such issues.
