The more I dabble in the craft of recording the more I understand and appreciate the recorded music we listed to and enjoy every day. Those songs we love have gone thru an amazing process from start to finish.
I found that EQ and Compression are the 2 most important tools that the recording engineer must master. The more tools and plugin we understand and champion the more we can fool the human ear into hearing things a certain way. This process takes time and effort to learn but once you understand how one plugin works against another and how to have them work together for you that's when your experimentation begins . Still learning how to bring the elements together and realizing, how to elevate a recording of a drum beat into something that may generate a little excitement to the ear .
