KZN ANC Provincial Elective Conference

Day two of the ninth KZN ANC Provincial Elective Conference got under way at the Olive Convention Centre in Durban on Saturday
ANC KZN delegates and supporters of various factions were full of song. Although the day's proceedings started late, everyone's attention was on the long-awaited nomination process and who would emerge victorious.
The Moses Mabhida Region wanted current chairperson Sihle Zikalala out and they made their intentions to prevent his re-election when they sang "phuma, phuma Sihle, phuma" (out, out Sihle, out).
Meanwhile outside of the Olive Convention Centre, ANC supporters were in high spirits and echoed the sentiments inside the venue.
Ultimately, the influential position for Kwazulu-Natal Chairman was awarded to Siboniso Duma, the Deputy Chairperson to Nomagugu Simelane, secretary to Bheki Mtolo, deputy secretary to Sipho Hlomuka and treasurer to Ntuthuko Mahlaba.
