Thoughts of Painting over an old Sketchbook with Bad Memories

What would you guys do? With an old sketchbook that had bad memories attached to some images?

I have an old sketchbook that has some bad memories associated with some of the sketches (from 14 years ago) and since they are sparse. I am considering gradually drawing and painting over them as time progresses. As sort of a side thing to do to pass time when I don't feel like working on a heavy project.

I was thinking of doing this to write over the memories negative memories of the past ... symbolizing a rewriting of my life ... overriding all the negative experiences and trauma I went through to show how my life is different now ... I don't plan on drawing or painting over All the old sketches .. just the main sources of negativity.
