We found it confusing to set up the different multiplayer modes in the new Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch, so we made a quick video to show you how to make it so that multiplayer or 2 player works in this game.

You do need a Switch online membership for online and local modes.
You need to wait until the airport opens to access online and local mode.
2 half-joycons DO work for party play.
There have been a lot of profile issues due to not setting up the correct main profile on the switch. I explain the fix for this in the video if you're getting a message saying you need to purchase it again.
