An act was voted by the house of representatives and the senate to codify laws revolving around same-sex marriage and interracial marriage. The act had two major differences than the previous versions. The first difference was that it removed racial preference from its legal code, and the second change was removing sex as a qualifying preference from being discriminated against in marriage.
