This is the second doorbell I have replaced. The first one being 10 minutes before this one at the side door. If I can do it, I know that anyone can do it.

The process is simple and easy and only uses a few common tools. A flat head screwdriver a phillips head screwdriver and needle nose pliers.

Before you get started, turn the breaker off that powers the doorbell. If you are not sure what one it is, have your mate ring it constantly until you find the right one. After turning off the power, unscrew the old doorbell button. You will see that there are only two wires. Unscrew them and throw the old one in your neighbors yard. Get your new one and loosen the screws. Wrap the wires around each one. It does not matter which way you hook them up. The difficult part is getting the wires to hook on the screw. Sometimes the wire is short and that is what makes it difficult. After that screw the new one back on and your ready to go! Just a little time and a little patients and you are on your way to making your guests a little more impressed when they come to your front door!
