Foregone Review: Rip-off of Dead Cells or Not?

Today's review is of the newly released Forgone, a Metroidvania-styled action game where you kill a ton of baddies and explore a war-torn world. It's got some great graphics and action, but is it actually good on its own merits or did they just rip off a ton of stuff from Dead Cells?
