Hi, I'm Phil Bridges, owner of Straight Arrow Repair. Ever want to know how a repairman fixes things? Well come with me, and I'll show you how I solve problems. Let's make things better together.

Okay, this is just a random board happen to have some boards behind it. I'm using a two by four because there won't be a whole lot of weight and we're going to support it. So it will take weight. So there is a frame usually three foot from the wall, outside wall, and it is right there. I can literally stand on it.

So I put a two by since I'm not using a two by six, it's put a 2 by right there on top of the frame, put it up and there's usually a board and we'll have something to sit on right there, and we'll be at that two by six height.

I'll put multiple screws in it.

So, I'll have to put a little short piece here from one go through here and fasten to that. But sometimes you may have to do is build out from the two by six. Either build it out this way or run the two by that way, which will do that in a minute. But that's what I'm going to do next, is cut that.

Section right there in the front and then start running in between these and that's what. You'll be doing. Every situation's a little bit different. But that's what you'll be doing. 12 inches.
