Turkey Opens Border to Europe for Syrian Refugees

In an apparent effort to draw international attention to the war in Syria, Turkish President Erdogan has opened the floodgates for Syrian refugees into Europe. Erdogan has used the threat of mass migration as leverage over the west for years and he is clearly looking for assistance in his war against Assad if the flow of migrants is to be stemmed.
