Damsel In Defense Stun Gun Repair, most dangerous charging circuit troubleshooting unsafe fire risk

This has to be the worst charging circuit I've ever seen. You have a 110V AC possibly 15-30 amp circuit going into a device put together with masking tape. The charging IC is soldered directly the capacitors. This thing is a fire hazard.
