Compassionate Release Success Story | RDAP Dan
Merites is one of our amazing clients that received a 42-month sentence. Her release date was not until 2022. Her fiancé James hired us for the main purpose of possibly getting her home sooner. After a deep dive into her situation as well as several calls with Tom Root, we decided that Merites may be a good candidate for compassionate release through the First Step Act. Here Merites tells her story about how we assisted in a sentence reduction of time served. She was released 12.26.19 directly to supervised release.
