Live: Second Quarter GDP Release!

The Bureau of Economic Analysis will release the first estimate of US 2nd Quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at 8:30 AM. Currently the Atlanta Fed's GDPNow tools is forecasting a -1.2% growth rate for 2Q22. This comes after the -1.6% GDP report from the first quarter of this year. Despite political posturing and rear end covering, a second consecutive quarter of negative economic growth would mean the United States has officially entered a recession.
