You will suffer as a Christian
"Remember what I told you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also".
John 15:20

It's not a question of if, but more of a question of when you will Suffer. Again, mark the words of Christ in John 15:20. Christ, God incarnate, was tortured and persecuted by those who hated righteousness.
None of us is better than Christ. No one who claims to be Christian should expect an easy go. If we're going to be persecuted and suffer in this world, then we need to prepare ourselves for that suffering.
We need to glorify God in that suffering.
