More videos keep appearing on social media about what happened in Santiago de Cuba this past weekend.
To recap:
- A little girl was abused in Distrito Martí on Feb 8 and the rapist was located hiding inside a friend’s home.
- The outrage was such, that the whole town came out to take justice into their own hands and beat up the abuser.
- Police and military showed up to control the situation, but it got out of hand.
- Video Part 1. A cop shoots his gun into the air and civilians take it away from him to prevent anyone from getting shot at.
- Video Part 2. Special military troops with rifles are heard shooting at the people. Some seem to refuse to shoot. They are being told to leave and eventually do. The military had to leave under a shower of rocks from an unarmed population.
- There is no confirmation on where the child might be and her state of health.
- We don’t know who the alleged rapist is and where he was taken to.
- But we do know that it takes rocks and outrage to drive the military away. Its only a matter of time for the outrage to be about freedom.
