WOOD LATHE DISC SANDER AND BUFFER

In this video, I'll show you how to build a Disc Sander for your Wood lathe, and how to add a Buffing Wheel on the "outboard" side.

Disc Sander Notes: Verify the maximum diameter Disc your lathe can accommodate before you start. Paper Sanding Discs are available in several standard sizes. Plan your Disc Sander to accept a standard size paper. The Disc will likely ride in the gap between the headstock and the ways (smooth rails that the tool rest slides along), which will allow a greater diameter Disc.

Check the arbor size on your lathe before ordering any Buffer parts, as everything has to fit YOUR arbor and threads. Other arbor sizes will work just as well, as all the parts below are available in other standard sizes.
