Should we clear this 1/2 acre (or more) on our homestead for animals?

Okay. So for those of you that have been with us for quite a while, you know the view behind our house quite well. We're looking ahead into the future and we're hoping to maybe have animals someday. Maybe chickens, miniature cows and possibly a couple of donkeys. More for pets than anything as we don't really need the milk, but the chicken eggs would really come in handy. Give us your thoughts. Do you think we should clear about a half acre behind the house or should we leave it at Wild as it is? Keep in mind. We live on a hundred and fifty acres and have lots of room to spread out. Thanks.
