"After reading The Bitcoin Standard I’m really wondering if there is a link between losing our hard money (time preference) and the pivot to mass produced shit food".

Well yes there is!  Way more than most realize.  And I am not going to make this about bitcoin at all.  Other than the listener mentioning it in the quote it will not even come up.  A lot of shit went down with our food supply in the 70s and fiat was not the cause, rather the enabler.
