The Parable of the Soils - July 31, 2022

In this parable, Jesus helps us understand the different ways that people respond to the gospel and why they react as they do. He uses a simple story drawn from agriculture, with which everyone would have been able to identify. He talks about the gospel as seed that is sown in the lives of people, and he identifies four different types of soil, which represent four different heart attitudes that people have toward the gospel and life. These attitudes affect the impact of the gospel in the life of an individual. So what are these four types of soil, and what are the attitudes that they represent?
