OH !@#$ THE AWB PASSED THE HOUSE! Wait…

House Bill 1808, aka the Assault Weapons Ban of 2022, passed the House with Republicans voting in support and some Democrats voting no. It's a very controversial bill when we're less than 100 days from the midterms. There is almost no chance of this passing the Senate and getting around the filibuster.

There is another proposed bill that can be passed through reconciliation which would put an outrageous tax on the firearms listed in 1808, but that's yet to come to the floor. That one could be nasty as it could place a 1000% tax on "AWB's" or those listed in 1808. We are watching that one. It has to pass the Byrd rule which it likely won't, but we're watching.
