Chinese tanks gather in Xiamen port near Taiwan Strait

From overhead, it looks just like any other traffic jam, except these are tanks, and they’re causing gridlock as far as the eye can see. Xiamen port is normally full of traffic, but these tanks and other military vehicles have shut down roads around the facility, causing the residents of surrounding high-rises to post photos and videos on social media.

There has been no official announcement on what has prompted the military buildup, nor if it's related to the deployment of tanks to a nearby beach.
