Interview with Wayne Vince Cooley

Wayne Cooley is part of a network of ministers called “Wrath and Grace.” Wayne is serving the Lord with his Pastor, “Los” of Lancaster, PA. Wayne and I have a candid conversation about his life, his journey through ministry, and serving the Lord in the times that we live in today.

Wayne shares on the epiphany that occurred after he listened to song by Lecrae. This caused him to go deeper in his sanctification with Christ. He walked away from what could have been a prosperous ministry in the Assemblies of God to follow truth in Christ.

He left all of his credentials in search of a deeper understanding of Christ. This opened the door for him to meet and develop the relationship and be discipled by his Spiritual father “Los”, who helped him get to where he is at today. He learned his lessons and journeyed deeper into Christ and began serving his Pastor “Los”. He has been helping his Pastor with a Church plant in Ward 6 of Lancaster, PA.

His Pastor felt called of the Lord to start a podcast and him and Wayne, host the “Basement” A podcast focused on new believers, beginning Christians, and to edify the Body of Christ. The Basement, Theology, Thoughts, Life. It grew from a local podcast to a global one. God has been with him and his Pastor.

The conversation gets deep and Wayne and I dissect the following topics: Submitting to leadership; Getting under the Vision of your Church; Holding true to Biblical Doctrine; Some Division is needed in the Church; Demonstrating Love to the World; History of Abolitionists in the Church & Billy Graham; Racism is taught by both sides to our Children; White People should stop apologizing for slavery; Black Pride; The Church has become a Clique that rejects those Jesus accepted; Educating the Body of Christ to be Different; President Trump is not Jesus Christ; the Church has lost its voice; & Voting Abstencia in future elections.
