Thesis : Tradition is not a source of doctrine.

For Roman Catholics, the Magisterium has the authority to verify or discredit any traditional truth claim. For Lutherans and Protestants, however, the ability to point to Tradition itself as the source for beliefs, without a Magisterium to verify to doctrines, doesn't exist.
